Christmas in Dixie

Its the most wonderful time of the year, and where better to celebrate it then "Christmas In Dixie".

The Christmas season is the most celebrated and heartwarming time and wouldn't be complete without Washington City's annual tree lighting celebration. Bring all your loved ones and breathe in the holiday spirit.  Between the touching sounds of the elementary choirs singing beautiful Christmas music, electric parade and sipping on hot cocoa, you will leave with Christmas cheer. The Grinch always makes his appearance to try and steal the night, but this celebration belongs to the jolly man himself. Thats right, the real Santa Claus will be coming to town. All the boys and girls will get the chance to sit on his lap and whisper their Christmas wishes. Make sure to bring your camera to capture this special moment with Santa. Santa's elves will have a special treat for all those children on the nice list. So all you kids both big and small remember Santa is watching and will have his list ready and he'll be checking it twice. Santa wont be missing out on this Washington City tradition and you shouldn't either.

Come enjoy our festivities at Nisson Park (251 West Telegraph) on November 28th from 6pm-9pm. This event is free to the public so bring the entire neighborhood out to watch the Christmas Tree come to life. The hot cocoa and donuts are sure to make it sweet.  For more information you can contact the Washington City Community Center at 435-656-6360.
